Can I bring my dog?Sure! However we ask you mention this in your booking notes, and consider the space - we are a small and busy pottery studio so we hope you can judge how well suited your dog may be to this environment. On weekends or school holidays we are especially short on space so please bear this in mind.
-
Are you wheelchair friendly?Lytham St Annes: Yes- we are on the ground floor which is level access to the street, up a very slight door step. We also have an accessible toilet. Lymm: Unfortunately, due to the studio being located on the first floor of our premises, the only access is up two flights of stairs. We work closely with a neighbouring accessible venue in Lymm where we are able to host pottery painting sessions for smaller parties. Please contact us for further information. Lancaster: The front entrance to the building has a small step, but ramp access is available at the rear. A lift provides access to the basement, ground, and first floors, where the accessible toilet is located. Please contact us for further information.

Do you still have it?If it has exceeded the hold period as stated in your collection email- please drop us a message to let us know when you're able to come and collect. We hold on to your painted pottery as long as your studio space will allow however we do make quarterly charity donations for uncollected pieces so please do collect at your earliest convenience!

The glaze and firing process
We do our best to ensure that your time in our studio is both therapeutic and fun. After you leave, the final stage of your pottery journey begins — the glazing and firing process. While we strive for perfection, it’s important to remember that working with ceramics is as much an art as it is a science. The kiln can be unpredictable, and despite our best efforts, outcomes may vary.
A number of factors can influence the final result, and although we take every precaution to manage them, some are beyond our control. This unpredictability is part of the unique charm — and occasional frustration — of handmade pottery.
If glazing issues occur, we may choose to re-fire the piece when it’s safe to do so in an effort to improve the result. In the rare event that a piece is damaged or cracks during firing, we will gladly offer compensation in the form of a replacement voucher.
