Please have a read through before booking, and if you have any further queries please contact us directly through the contact form on our website.
How does it work?
Full information regarding how our sessions work can be found here.
HOW DO I BOOK?
Bookings for up to 8 guests can be made here. For bookings of 9+ guests please message us directly using the contact form on our site (click here).
Do you serve food + drinks?
We offer a selection of hot and cold drinks, we also have a licensed bar with a menu of wine, spirits, cocktails and beer. Our current food offering is a selection of bakes + cakes, savoury snacks and cheese and charcuterie sharing platters.
Are you wheelchair friendly?
Unfortunately, due to the studio being located on the first floor of our premises, the only access is up two flights of stairs. We do however have a sister studio in Ansdell, Lancashire which is situated on the ground floor with accessible toilets and we work closely with a neighbouring accessible venue in Lymm where we are able to host pottery painting sessions for smaller parties. Please contact us for further information.
Can i bring my dog?
Sure! However we ask you mention this in your booking notes, and consider the space - we are a small and busy pottery studio so we hope you can judge how well suited your dog may be to this environment. On weekends or school holidays we are especially short on space so please bear this in mind.
Are you able to post my pottery out to me once its been fired?
We do offer the option for delivery of your finished pottery at an additional charge. This option can be added at the time of payment after your painting session. Please note we are not able to post our our larger and more fragile pieces.
How much does it cost?
Our pottery pieces are priced individually, meaning they vary due to size, detail, etc, but they range from £16 to £45. We charge a £4 per painter studio fee, which allows a 1.45 hour slot, unlimited paint colours, glazing and firing. This is charged on the day. Most of our range is between £16 and £28 which includes our mugs, bowls, plates and smaller ornaments.
When can i collect my pottery?
Your finished piece will be ready to collect from us 2-3 weeks after your visit (please note this may be extended over busier periods however you will be notified of this when you visit). You will receive an email notifying you that your pottery is ready to collect, this will be sent to the email address given on the booking. If for whatever reason you don't get notified after 3 weeks, please drop us a message here including name of booking, description or photos of what was painted and date visited and we will check on this for you.
Do you have parking?
Unfortunately we don't have any on site parking however Henry Street and Davies Way car parks are located within a couple minutes walk. Location, pricing and further info can be found via Lymm Council website here.
DO you sell gift vouchers?
We do indeed! These can be purchased from us in store or via our website here.
I forgot to collect my pottery! Do you still have it?
If it has exceeded the hold period as stated in your collection email- please drop us a message to let us know when you're able to come and collect. We hold on to your painted pottery as long as your studio space will allow however we do make quarterly charity donations for uncollected pieces so please do collect at your earliest convenience!
The glaze and firing process
We try our best to ensure that your time spent in our studio is both a therapeutic and fun experience. After you leave, the final part of the journey involves the glazing and firing of your pottery. Sadly this is not an exact science and the kiln is sometimes unpredictable. While we strive for perfection it doesn’t happen all the time, particularly as these are hand-produced crafts.
Various factors can sometimes effect the finished product. Please be aware that although we try to control these events it is not always possible. It can be the charm but also the frustration of working with ceramics. Sometimes, if we feel it is safe to do so, we will re-fire the pottery to try to fix glazing issues. In the unlikely event of your pottery breaking or cracking in the kiln we will of course offer compensation by way of a replacement voucher.
